The annual Jimmie Girard local blood drive was hosted by New Jersey Blood Center the Central Jersey Blood Center. Lakewood Blueclaws and Central Jersey Blood Center team up once again! Our very own Ryan Ragan, "The Roof Man", returns to the roof of FirstEnergy Park for the third straight year on August 15th to promote the blood drive that will be held on August 20th. AABB (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks) will observe World Blood Donor Day on June 14 to help bring attention to the need for safe blood and blood products around the world. The association is encouraging its individual and institutional members to plan celebrations as a way to thank eligible donors who volunteer to give blood. Read more.

Washington Redskins strong safety LaRon Landry is receiving platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments to heal micro-tears in his Achilles’ tendon.
