Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, was founded forty years ago by three area hospitals, the Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Monmouth County Medical Society. CJBC opened its doors to the first blood donor in July of 1965. The mission of the Blood Center is to provide an adequate, high quality and safe supply of blood, blood products and other related services to meet the needs of the area hospitals. Central Jersey Blood Center services the following hospitals as a primary supplier, along with numerous other hospitals as a secondary provider:
